Our Arrangements
Three Ways to Support an Older Relative at Home
Each arrangement was shaped by what Penang families actually asked for. They can be taken individually or combined over time as circumstances change.

How We Arrive at the Right Arrangement
Before any arrangement begins, we have a conversation with the family. We ask about your older relative's daily habits, what they enjoy, how independent they currently are, and what the household's practical situation looks like day to day.
That conversation shapes which service — or combination of services — makes sense to start with. Families sometimes begin with one arrangement and add a second a few months later. Others find that one service alone is everything they need. We don't suggest more than is genuinely useful.
Family Conversation First
No arrangement is designed without speaking to the family about what's actually needed.
Written Scope Agreed
What's included is put in writing and confirmed with the family before visits begin.
Arrangement Begins
The first month is a settling-in period. We stay in close contact with the family throughout.
Ongoing Review
At one month, then quarterly, we revisit the arrangement with the family and adjust as needed.

Daytime Companionship Programme
A structured daytime companion visits the home on chosen days each week, spending time with the older relative in a natural, unforced way — conversation, a shared meal, a light activity in the afternoon. The arrangement is specifically for families where one or both working-age relatives are away from home during the day and want their older family member to have genuine company rather than an empty house.
What's Included
- Companion schedule set for chosen days each week
- Activity outline tailored to the older relative's interests and preferences
- Shared meal coordination (companion joins meals, does not cook)
- End-of-day written note sent to the family after every visit
- Initial family meeting and introduction session
How It Works
- 1Family consultation to understand the household, preferences, and schedule
- 2Companion selected and introduced to the older relative and family
- 3First-month visits begin — family receives daily end-of-session notes
- 4Review at four weeks; arrangement continues, adjusts, or expands as needed

Daily Living Support Coordination
This service organises practical help around the home on a weekly basis — tidying, laundry coordination, everyday meal preparation, and the general management of household tasks that accumulate when a household includes an older relative with some need for additional support. It's designed for families who want a calmer, more consistent home environment without having to manage every detail themselves.
What's Included
- Tailored weekly task list, reviewed with the family each month
- Coordination of household helpers already known to the family
- Meal preparation coordination (planning and supervision, not full cooking service)
- Laundry and tidying coordination during flexible weekly sessions
- Regular family check-in updates — minimum fortnightly
How It Works
- 1Family consultation: household layout, current helpers, preferences, priorities
- 2First task list prepared and agreed in writing with the family
- 3Weekly sessions begin; family receives fortnightly updates
- 4Monthly task list review ensures the arrangement stays relevant
